Product Description
The Nano-500 combines a full-spectrum microvolume UV-Vis spectrophotometer, a fluorescence detector and an OD600 cuvette reader in one compact instrument.

The Nano-500 Microvolume Spectrophotometer and Fluorometer is designed for both high-concentration absorbance measurement and low-concentration fluorescence quantification.
The absorbance system uses a xenon flash lamp and a 2048-element linear CCD detector to measure samples across 200-800 nm. Three optical path lengths—0.05, 0.2 and 1.0 mm—allow direct analysis of a wide concentration range. The instrument measures dsDNA from 2 to 15,000 ng/μL and BSA protein from 0.1 to 450 mg/mL.
Only 0.5-2.0 μL of sample is required. The motor-driven sample stretching system helps create a stable liquid column and improve repeatability, particularly for concentrated or viscous samples. Results are displayed in less than 6 seconds.
Fluorescence mode uses LED excitation and photodiode detection. With a compatible fluorescence quantification kit, it can measure low-concentration DNA, RNA or protein samples. The fluorescence measurement time is approximately 3 seconds.

An independent OD600 cuvette mode is provided for bacterial and microbial culture measurement.
The 7-inch touchscreen and Android system allow standalone operation. Results can be transferred through USB or printed directly using the built-in printer.

Fluorescence performance depends on the installed channel, compatible reagent kit and assay conditions. UV, green and red fluorescence channels are optional configurations and are not included simultaneously in the standard blue-channel model.
